Description BD POSIFLUSH XS PREFILLED SYRINGE 10 ml - 306572 - box of 30 - sterile BD PosiFlush™ XS Prefilled Saline Syringe is a sterile, ready to use, polypropylene syringe with Luer-lock™ tip, that contains sterile and non-pyrogenic isotonic 0.9% sodium chloride solution. It is used in oncology, interventional radiology and critical care for flushing of in-situ peripheral intravenous catheters (PIVCs), peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs), central venous catheters (CVCs) and implanted venous access parts. Reduction of occlusions and catheter damage Designed to reduce the likelihood of syringe-induced catheter reflux, that can cause occlusions. 10 ml diameter helps to lower the risk of catheter damage due to injection pressure IV catheter-related infections reduction Luer-lock™ tip cap helps to prevent touch contamination and infection and retaining ring reduces the risk of solution contamination Clear labelling helps to reduce the risk of medication errors Easily identifiable syringe contents and bold print for clarity No need for needles, glass vials and ampoules It can be used on a sterile field by healthcare professionals to reduce the risk of touch contamination that may occur during manual preparation of saline flush syringes.
